He said the mass affluent in Malaysia numbered 242,200 households in 2005 with total income of US$14.4 billion, or an average US$59,400, per household, and this was expected to increase to 559,200 households with income of US$35.4 billion, or US$63,300, per household based on assumption of a real gross domestic product growth of 5.5 percent annually.
